Family Development & Support

Family relationships do not diminish in importance as family-members age. In fact , family relationships become even more important, particularly for the aging member of the family and for other members of the family that need to work together to help the older members of the family.

Increased family support may be necessary to replace relationships with a deceased spouse or as social networks shrink as long-time friends pass away. But how do you get this help if you need it, or provide this help if a family member needs it? In some family situations this is easy and natural, but in others it is more complicated.

If you are struggling with the issue of family relationships regarding a elderly family member, the Counseling Center may be able to help.
